1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

2. Accessing the website and server log files
When this website is used solely for information purposes, your browser transmits technically necessary information to the server. This may include the page or file accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, hostname and IP address.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure, stable and technically error-free provision of this website.
STRATO makes access log files available for the previous six weeks; hostnames and IP addresses are anonymised in these files. Error logs are available for 24 hours. Aggregated statistics that cannot be traced back to individual visitors may be retained for longer.
3. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
4. Hosting and processing on behalf of the controller
This website and its associated email mailbox are operated by:
STRATO GmbH
Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7
10249 Berlin
Germany
STRATO processes the data required to provide, secure and operate the website on my behalf. Hosting takes place for the purpose of taking steps at the request of prospective clients and performing contracts with existing clients pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and on the basis of my legitimate interest in the secure, fast and efficient provision of my online presence pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO. According to STRATO, hosting and email data is stored and processed in data centres in Germany. STRATO may use approved further processors to provide its contractual services. Where a transfer to a third country is required in an individual case, STRATO undertakes to comply with the requirements of Arts. 44 et seq. GDPR. Further information is available in STRATO’s privacy notice and its data processing agreement.
5. Cookies, analytics and embedded content
In its current technical form, this website does not itself set cookies. No analytics, audience measurement or marketing services are used. Content from social networks or other third-party providers is not embedded directly in the website. Consequently, no consent banner is currently required for simply visiting this website.
If services, cookies or embedded content requiring consent are added in the future, they will be used only after the necessary consent has been obtained and this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.
6. Contact by email
If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide, including your email address and the content of your message, in order to respond to your enquiry and manage the related correspondence.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to process and respond to your enquiry. If your enquiry concerns steps prior to entering into a contract or the performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR also applies.
The data will be deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with and no statutory retention obligations or other legitimate grounds for continued storage apply.
7. External links
This website contains links to external services, in particular Instagram and the Cologne Academy of Photography. No content from these providers is loaded when you merely access this website. A connection to the respective provider is established only when you follow an external link. The provider’s own privacy notice then applies.
8. Retention periods
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this policy, personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. Statutory retention obligations, in particular those arising from commercial and tax law, remain unaffected. Data processed on the basis of consent is processed until consent is withdrawn, unless another legal basis continues to apply. Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the data will no longer be processed following a justified objection unless compelling legitimate grounds or requirements relating to the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims apply.
9. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), notification (Art. 19 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
10. Right to object
If personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Processing will then cease unless compelling legitimate grounds or reasons relating to the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims apply.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR. The authority responsible for my place of establishment is:
